Over 80 faith leaders have sent President Donald Trump a letter urging him to formally include a religion engagement group within the Group of 20 summit, to be hosted at Trump’s golf club in the Miami area this December.
In the official coalition letter, the leaders wrote to Trump, “The eyes of the world will be on you and America this year, and we pray you seize this opportunity to further cement your legacy as a stalwart defender of religious liberty when America’s security and spiritual well-being were under threat."
With four-fifths of the world’s population ascribing to a religion, a group like the G20 ought to take religion into consideration as it tries to achieve its laudable social and economic goals. The R20 would be a priority because it would have a “strong appeal” to a religious base. Cardinal Dolan emphasized religion as “the greatest source of soft power in much of the world”.

Global digital ID systems are experiencing rapid, widespread adoption, with a 2025 landscape report tracking over 280 active networks worldwide aiming to replace or supplement physical identification. Driven by the need to increase, secure, and streamline access to services, countries are accelerating the shift toward digital-first identification, with a target of providing legal identity to every person by 2030.
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 16.9, aims to provide a "legal identity for all" by 2030. The European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI) is currently being rolled out, with a target for all EU member states to offer them to citizens by 2026, aiming for universal access by 2030. Companies like Mastercard are moving toward "biometric checkout" (using palms or faces) by 2030.
The global ID deadline confirms my theory that the end-days calendar could begin in early 2030. I believe that, unlike the original digital ID wallet, enforcement of the "mark" will involve a personal choice to accept a bodily implant.
Ancient Babylon Restoration
Largely funded by the US embassy in Baghdad, the restoration of the temple and the north retaining wall are part of the Future of Babylon Project, initiated 15 years ago, which aims to document, waterproof and stabilize structures throughout the 2,500-acre site.
The ancient Mesopotamian city of Babylon, in modern-day Iraq, is today undergoing a revival. Two World Monuments Fund (WMF) projects are nearing completion and much-needed cultural tourism is returning.
One project mitigates groundwater damage to the north retaining wall of the Ishtar Gate. The second is a restoration of the Temple of Ninmakh, dedicated to the Sumerian mother goddess.
The team hopes there will be an official reopening for the temple, autumn of 2025, after which it will be available for gatherings such as weddings and concerts, as well as for the Babylon Festival, a celebration of international cultures that takes place every spring.
