The Truth About The Rapture

Shall we get down to the nitty gritty and finally have a clear understanding of why this has been the most debated topic by Christians?

First of all, while the specific English word "rapture" does not appear in the Bible, the concept originates from the Greek word "harpazo" (ἁρπάζω) and its Latin translation "rapturo". These words translate to "caught up," "seize," or "snatch away".

The New Testament contains a rich linguistic tradition and specific events to convey the theology of the rapture. This Greek term denotes a sudden, forceful, and irresistible taking away. It is primarily found in the New Testament to describe supernatural transport.

1 Thessalonians 4:17: The foundational passage for the rapture describes living believers being "caught up" (harpazo) in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

2 Corinthians 12:2-4: Paul uses the word twice to describe being "caught up" into the third heaven and into Paradise.

Acts 8:39: The Spirit of the Lord "caught away" Philip after he baptized the Ethiopian eunuch.

Revelation 12:5: Describes a male child who was "caught up" to God and His throne

When the Bible was translated from Greek to Latin (the Latin Vulgate), the Greek word harpazo was translated as rapiemur (from the verb rapio). English theologians adapted the noun form of this Latin word to coin the term "rapture".

Even though it is acknowledged that the word rapture is not found in the Bible, every single Christian I debate still looks for answers in the word itself, rather than focusing on the actual events described.

In 1 Corinthians 15:51, Paul introduces a key clue for this event, calling it a "mystery".

"Behold, I show you a MYSTERY"

Why did Paul describe it as a 'mystery'? Could it be linked to Jesus' words about ancient Galilean wedding traditions, where only the groom's father determines the wedding day?

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” Matthew 24:36

Paul then informs us of what the mystery is and how it will happen.

“We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be CHANGED, in a MOMENT, in the TWINKLIN of an eye”

Lastly, he shares with us when this will happen. I will share my findings on that later.

“at the LAST TRUMP: for the trumpet shall sound”

Now, moving on to additional words written by Paul in 1 Thessalonians, he discloses whom and where to look for, as well as what will announce his coming.

“For the LORD HIMSELF shall DESCEND from HEAVEN with a SHOUT, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God…”

And then it’s followed by where this will happen.

“to MEET the Lord in the AIR: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Every single thing we need to know to locate this “event” was given to us by the Apostle Paul. It is the every single thing described in Revelation 10! Why not a single person has found this except me truly boggles my mind. It was the FIRST thing I found when I sat down to study end-times prophecy. Why people continue to debate and even argue with me over this is even more disturbing.

Here are the clues given to us by Paul:

Mystery: Only the Father knows

What: Not all will sleep; we will all be changed

How: In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye

When: At the last trumpet

Who: The Lord Himself

Where to look and what to listen for: A shout from heaven

Meeting place: In the air

So now, let's explore Revelation Chapter 10 together.

“1And I saw another MIGHTY angel COME down FROM heaven,”

Doesn’t this describe Paul’s who and where to look?

“…clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire”

If you studied the descriptions of heaven at the beginning of Revelation, you would recognize this mysterious, “mighty” angel as Jesus. Jesus is also described in this same way in Daniel Chapter 10. Why would an angel have God’s rainbow or be clothed in a cloud? This “cloud” is used over and over in the Old Testament in descriptions of God’s travels. The reason for the use of clouds is that the divine illumination of God and His Son, Jesus, would be overwhelming to human eyes. God’s presence is described as a light so dazzling that humanity cannot comprehend it or look directly at it.

“…and he set his RIGHT foot upon the SEA, and his LEFT foot on the EARTH, 3And CRIED with a LOUD voice, as when a lion roareth”

Once again, doesn't Paul inform us that He will descend with a shout, with the voice of an archangel? Could he be describing this same cry of a "mighty angel" in this chapter of Revelation?

Hosea 11:10 "They shall walk after the Lord; he will roar like a lion” confirms that God calls and gathers His followers with a loud, lion-like roar.

“2And HE had in his HAND a little BOOK open”

Continuing on, we see that this mighty angel is holding a little book. What is this for? Could this possibly be the marriage contract known as the Ketubah or even the book of life?

“…and when he had cried, SEVEN THUNDERS uttered their VOICES.”

This is where most people stop. Scholars have long assumed that these peals must represent additional warnings or judgments because they are referenced in a series of seven, similar to the seals, trumpets, and bowls. Consequently, the conclusion has been that these are messages of warning and that the "mighty angel" cannot be Jesus.

“And ALL THE ANGELS stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: BLESSING, and GLORY, and WISDOM, and THANKSGIVING, and HONOUR, and POWER, and MIGHT, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 7:11-12

If Christians took the time to understand that everything concerning Jesus—a Jewish man—relates to his native traditions, they might have caught this. The seven peals of thunder represent the seven blessings recited by guests at an ancient Galilean wedding; therefore, the thunders are the angels reciting these seven wedding blessings in heaven.

“4And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a VOICE FROM HEAVEN saying unto me, SEAL up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and WRITE them NOT.”

Did not Paul speak of a mystery when describing the rapture event? Didn’t Jesus also say that no one knows the hour except the Father? If John had written the words spoken by the voices, the timing wouldn’t be a mystery anymore. However, if Christians studied Jewish wedding traditions, they would discover what I did: the traditional Jewish wedding is beautifully revealed throughout the Book of Revelation. I explored this in my post, “A Heavenly Love Story.”

Now, here is where you need to exercise discernment to catch the clue in Revelation 10 that confirms Paul's description of the rapture as happening "in a moment" or "in the twinkling of an eye." Looking at verse 3, it states that immediately after Jesus shouts, the angels recite the seven blessings. This means that as soon as Jesus calls for His Bride, she is instantly in heaven around the throne of God, listening to the angels.

“And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth LIFTED up his HAND to HEAVEN, 6And SWARE by HIM that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time NO longer”

This should have been the final clue that this is no ordinary angel. He raises his hand to God and swears that 'there should be time no longer.' These same words are mentioned only one other time in the Bible: the prophetic twelfth chapter of Daniel, which provides the timeline for the tribulation in Revelation.

“And I heard the MAN clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he HELD UP his RIGHT HAND and his LEFT HAND unto HEAVEN, and SWARE by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.” Daniel 12:7

What time is this mighty angel swearing should be no longer? Could it be that he is referring to the period of God’s testing—the ten days of repentance? To confirm this, you must know the timeline. Again, if you have not studied Jewish traditions, you will never be privy to the information I am about to reveal. The information consistently denied by supposedly discerning Christians.

In the final chapter of Daniel’s prophecies, we find a timeline of 1,290 days for the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary to be completed. Then, another number—a 1,335th day—is mentioned as a “blessing.” Within those 1,335 days, I found the fulfillment of the Fall Feasts and the confirmation of every single word spoken in the Bible regarding this so-called “rapture,” including its exact timing within those 1,335 days.

The Daniel 12 timeline verifies the chronological order of Revelation’s tribulation, which includes the timing of the “last trump.” This being the sole verse used by the masses to determine the rapture’s timing as occurring after the tribulation, it can now be debunked as a false assumption.

Time and time again, I debate the definitions of the words “last,” “near,” “close,” and “soon.” Let this disclosure of the actual timing for the “last” trumpet help clear up this argument forever. The “last” trumpet is the seventh, and it sounds right after the end of the 30 prophetic months of preparation in heaven when Satan is cast down to earth. It is at this time that Jesus receives His bride and their wedding gift from His Father: a kingdom. This occurs 13 prophetic months prior to the end of the tribulation, acknowledging Jesus' words in the following verses of scripture.

“Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will KEEP thee from the hour of temptation (testing), which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” Revelation 3:10

“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be DELIVERED, every one that shall be FOUND WRITTEN in the BOOK.” Daniel 12:1

“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the ELECT’S (Bride) sake those days shall be SHORTENED.” Matthew 24:22

Daniel 12 not only includes the timing of the rapture and second coming, but it also details the date of the wedding ceremony and marriage supper. Additionally, it confirms that there will be no separation of time between the start of the final tribulation and the millennium, while establishing that the millennium will be a literal 1,000 years based on the words of Peter.

“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” 2 Peter 3:8

Although many people have studied and understood that Jesus is prophesied to fulfill all of the Jewish Holy Feasts, they have never found these fulfillments in the end-times prophecies. I give credit to the Holy Spirit and my detective skills for the revelation. The first clue came in the fifth trumpet of Revelation, which speaks of a five-month period. Because of my understanding of biblical numbers, I found it odd that this short period would pertain only to the lifespan of a locust, or that the literal event would only last for five months. When I multiplied this by the six remaining trumpets, the total equaled the exact number of days in the Jewish month of Elul.

Elul is the month preceding the first fall feast, Rosh Hashanah. During this time, a trumpet is blown daily to remind Jewish people to prepare for the holiday. Once I had this information in my hands, I knew the rest would be found in Daniel 12. That is exactly what was disclosed to me by the Holy Spirit, who insisted I focus on the Book of Daniel until I figured it out.

As I noted in my Facebook post “Signs of the End,” if Daniel 12 has now been unsealed, we can be confident we are in the end days. Revelation was left unsealed so we would know what to expect, but Daniel’s when was sealed until God was ready to reveal it. Most Christian prophecy studies focus on the New Testament and Revelation, while Jewish studies focus on the Torah and Talmud. I truly believe this is why these timelines remained hidden, and it took the Holy Spirit’s persistence to help me connect the pieces.

There should be no more debating about "when" or "if" because it has always been right there in Daniel 12 and Revelation 10. Even if you don't normally share my posts, I hope my followers, friends, and family will share this one. I am tired of debating and feeling judged for my discernment. Many Christians are so set in their traditional views that they refuse to see the new insight being revealed. It is heartbreaking to see this day after day, especially from our spiritual leaders who continue to teach false doctrine OR avoid it all costs.
